We are not a one issue organization. We feel all things that may harm deer hunting in Wisconsin are important. We decided at our Annual Meeting this Spring that we feel that the Wisconsin DNR is the organization that we will follow. It is the only educated and trained group in the field of deer and hunting. Many amateurs have theories and most of these are dangerous to deer hunting. One group is advocating leaving the infected herd in SW Wisconsin alone after the regular hunt. I suppose they feel the disease needs more time to spread further north. Many have suggested do nothing and nature will take care of the problem. That means my son and grandchildren probably will not hunt deer in Wisconsin in their lifetime. Let's leave the radicals out of this decision.

Our organization wants a professional wildlife organization to handle this problem. Not politicians, not people who have an economic interest to protect. We support the lawful method which is being proposed. The writer has seen what happens in other states who do not have the professional DNR we do. We support them.
